This is probably one of the worst stories I’ve read in a while. NOTHING is likable about the ML, and the MC barely makes any sense and isn’t consistent in his feelings.

The story starts off with a 18-19 year old MC, who dies and gets transmigrated into another world in which he’s told to be the so called chosen one from a prophecy. EVERYONE uses MC’s young age and naivety against him, using their hypocritical sympathy and tear-filled eyes as a way to convince him they’re aware he doesn’t have a choice and how sad that is, but they genuinely need him there.
ML is portrayed as a monster and that is exactly what he is. Somehow, I could have appreciated a realistic portrayal of what an emperor acts like, but the way he acts like a completely different person with Minhu and the way it sways him are disturbing. Not only is ML a monster, but so are the people working for him, all human beings devoid of empathy for a little girl prisoner of war, or for anyone else for that matter.

MC does not make sense, as said above, because despite not being gay, he actively reciprocates the sexual, borderline romantic relationship ML cultivated. If it was portrayed as MC being aware he has nowhere to go and that he feared the emperor thus leading to him not defending himself for survival, it would’ve made sense, but it is not what it is. He was assaulted once (despite it not being interpreted that way by MC it seems), felt “good”, therefore letting it happen continuously.
MC being swayed by ML’s attention and affection is absolute nonsense. Yes, the emperor is kind to you, but does it make his disregard for human life meaningless ? Minhu is fully aware ML is a monster who tried to kill the woman he shared a relationship with, he also tried to kill his own child, killed everyone from the mother’s family; he’s also known for having a tendency to behead people, having a harem of women he sexually abuses and kills depending on his mood, but his “kindness” erases all of it? WHAT is going on in Minhu’s mind to not be scared shitless of the man in front of him? Why would ML’s lie about the prophecy be what finally gives him the courage to flee ? Were there not bigger problems at hand before ?

And then Minhu escapes, for a whole month, and not only (obviously) gets caught, but also gets chained and therefore truly becomes prisoner. Despite it all, he loves ML with ease, gets over the chains around his ankle and goes back to the way things were before fleeing. I’m not bothering. I spoiled the last chapter for myself and it just ends on the worst note, Minhu finally so close to escaping, being more bothered by his martyr’s potential death than his well deserved freedom. He ended up giving a monster what he wanted and is now forever stuck with a man who does not treat him like a human being. The ratings are way too high for the trash of a story this is.

WASTED MY PRECIOUS FUCKING TIME ON THIS SHIT ASS WASTE OF A STORY. NO PLOT BUILDING, BASICALLY HAD THE SAME SHIT REPEAT UNTIL WE REACHED THE MOST NON CLIMACTIC ENDING POSSIBLE.
