The gods once planted seeds of grace known as "Spirits" in our land. Humans were eternally grateful to have the blessings of these Spirits. However, even they cannot escape mortality. The moment their time runs out, their bodies are enveloped in darkness and their surroundings with them. The only ones that can send these accursed spirits to their final resting place are "Soul Senders." This is the tale of a young Soul Sender named Alpi. Through great sorrow and pain, she wields her blade.

Half the tags up so far are off base, but whatever. Not isekai, not historical, no demons (thus far, only at ch 4).
It’s interesting so far- it reminds me in different ways of Sunday without god, Kino’s Journey, and Made in Abyss. To a lesser extent, Mushishi. The art is beautiful, and the designs are fascinating.
It’s about a young girl who is traveling in search of her parents, who share the same profession- that of soul senders. As a soul sender, she sends off the souls of deceased spirits, who in life bless the land, and in death curse it. To bear the curse is painful, but must be done, for the sake of the land and of the spirits.
If you know anything about the aforementioned series, you can probably already start drawing connections given what I’ve said. If you like any of those, please give this a read. I’m eager to see how the story continues to unfold.
