I had so much hope that she would end up with Carsien but OMG she chose the rapist murderer and yes it's from another timeline but he was hating on her for NO REASON at first he wasn't even poisoned at the time and he wanted attention but that's not her fault it was his parents

I read a comment saying she got raped, so I had to reread the first few chapters because I don't remember that. I believe it's due to her lack of reaction and how it was only shown in a few panels that it didn't come off that way. I still don't know if it was rape since we couldn't hear what she thought about his treatment towards her at the time. Was it unwanted? she went for it so I can't say. what I can say however is that she loved him so she couldn't deny him, and he was rough and violent with her. >:(
honestly, when I first read it, I was really hoping she'd never go back to him >:(
but after seeing how different and caring he was, and how she couldn't stop loving him, no matter how I felt, it wasn't going to go my way :(

I just finished rereading after many years and gawd I end up still liking him at the very end
it's always at the start where I hate him but since she went back in time, it was also a fresh start and he isn't the same person who did those things to her
and in the end, it was revealed that his sadness and hatred was reasonable based on what he lived through
and it was also revealed that they were both poisoned to act unlike themselves with heighten anger, mood swings, nausea, which led to the end of their lives
Under the influence of the poison from a 3rd person perspective, everything was merely unfortunate
