It was sad but for me it wasn’t sad enough. Dementia runs in my family so I would think this would resonate with me. As I have to live with the fact that the mother I hold so dear could begin to forget about us and our memories. But honestly this story fell flat. It didn’t punch you with the raw emotion which is finding out someone you love has dementia. Honestly, this would have benefited from more chapters to build up their relationship before breaking it down through having the wife acting cold and distance seeming at random(but have occasionally peaks of her former self).Then follow that by him find out her diagnosis. This story just feels empty instead of sad.
