Every time I re-read this, I fall for it all over again (loll pun intended, you'll understand soon).
Disclaimer: incest, but not, like, your typical incest because there's time travel so that makes it slightly more morally ambiguous, and also makes me feel like less of a messed up piece of shit for loving it so much.
It's freaking heart-HEART-WRENCHINGLY bittersweet and sad and beautiful and unfair and shocking and warm and really just ALL the feels.
Human x sparrow turned human. The sweetest fluff you'll ever find.
Such a beautiful friendship to love story
Ah man, this is like that one episode of Black Mirror where the wife's husband dies and she buys a robot version of him that's him but not him at the same time, and I thought I knew what I was in for but I was W R O N G.
Read this story when you have time afterwards to collect your thoughts and be alone. It's a masterpiece, but it's very sad.
Does it have a happy ending? You'll have to decide that yourself.
Uke doesn’t like troublesome people, and puts on the front of being a delinquent so others will keep their distance. One day while he was skipping class, the janitor is sitting in one of his ditching spots. The janitor is the same as him, he doesn’t like dealing with troublesome people as well. They want to keep their distance from others, yet this draws them together
Age gap? The best kind → 10+years
Height gap? Yess
Wholesome and supportive? Only of course
Tetsuta was a singer-songwriter who became unable to sing. He meets a mysterious boy near the sea named Nagi, and the two become closer after hearing Nagi’s singing voice. Thr fantasy tag is super relevant but I can’t mention any more without spoiling it.
FRICKING HELL THIS ONE MADE ME CRY SO DAMN HARD AT THE END.
Another super sad oneshot. A painful drama about a love that can never be, and an unrequited love from a misunderstood love letter. Ow my heart
Two friends since highschool are now college-age. While looking over the stars like they used to do, a lighthearted confession turned serious. One problem about it is, it is the very day that Ohara decided to give up his long time feelings for Kawai. He's burned out, and there’s a lot that needs to be fixed before they can progress.
As Kawai tries to figure things out, he realizes he doesn't want things to just end this way. Beautiful pacing, I was near tears.
Beautiful, just beautiful. I can’t emphasize enough just how much I love this story.
Amidst the hundreds of cliche BL, it’s honestly rare to find unique plots and this one was sooooo good.
It’s about two painted angels who are able to come out of the wall they were painted on. Both stories (angel 1 and angel 2 have their own story) are so beautiful and the relationships that develop are so heartwarming.
I 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 recommend this, like seriously.
The atmosphere it sets up is golden— it’s insanely the type of slow-paced fluff that I need in this chaotic life.
It’s a very straightforward plot and has you falling in love along with the MC with all the subtleties. No complicated anything, just so calming and wholesome.
I never knew I’d fall in love with the way she draws a man who is 45+ years old but here I am, falling in love with his kind face and warm smile.
A gem, but I love all of Basso’s works. The art style is my drug.
This is it - an 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘺 healthy couple because of their 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. It’s a solid 10/10 on the wholesome scale
A story of best friends to lovers. The manga follows them being one of the healthiest and sweetest couple in recent BL updates.
It’s their great relationship and the amazing pacing that sets the bar way too high
