Age gap

Three very different stories. The first was a really sweet one with an age gap. A 35 year old salaryman eats out every night since he broke up with his long term lover because he struggles with the loneliness of home. He tries a new French style restaurant that is run by owner/chef, 25 year old Mizuki and finds that he loves more than the food there. This was a feel good story of new love and a caring couple.

The Target In The School Infirmary: Delinquent student Toudou is in pursuit of the school infirmary nurse Miura as part of a bet. However, his sensei turns the tables on him and leaves the teen confused, angry and overwhelmed by his feelings. I liked the cautious sensei because he wasn’t some predator at school chasing kids. I loved Toudou, he was adorably clueless yet assertive. A mix of take charge, manipulative and totally helpless, Toudou was surprised to find himself very much in love with

Three great stories of couples with some personality problems to deal with. These included the insecurities that come with a relationship with a large age gap, social awkwardness and bullying as well as lying. I probably enjoyed the crybaby delinquent the most, he was endearingly obnoxious and cute to boot!

I love this mangaka’s work. Her men are so masculine. Whether they are murdering yakuza, dissolute playboys or career salarymen, Nishida Higashi is able to create guys that speak and interact in ways that seem more authentic than the average mangaka. Even the silly jokes are great (“Weiner” ). In this set of stories I loved the intensity that sparked between the first pair, it was the best story besides the wonderful catch up with Shirota and Hime at the end.

A diverse range of stories, especially with a historical type amidst all these modern manga. I loved the first story with the musician and the salaryman. That first sexy glimpse of those abs on outside the office window was a great start to the story, and then add the humour elements to set the scene for a funny and sexy story. The other stories were good too, though most of them finished before the relationship was mutual or with some degree of unfinished business.

Loved it all, and the cherry on top was the 20 years later ending.

The first story with the step brothers was my favourite. Those naughty dreams were hilarious simply for the look on the brothers coyly seductive face and the reaction of the seme. The way it ended also has me laughing, I could happily keep reading about that pair. I took a star off for the last story which was my least favourite. It chopped all over different years and times in their relationship and required backtracking to try to make sense out of the MCs and their relationship.

Ridiculously adorable! I loved the obsessive tendencies of the seme, and his hot stories were irresistible for Mama chan. Plenty of sexy scenes and lots of lols, this was a load of fun to read.

So different! The boss was such a cranky pants but you could really see him falling for Momose in his own way. There’s no accounting for taste, and idk why I enjoyed such a prickly character, but I did have fun reading this.

A story of new beginnings and love, this was interesting and enjoyable. There was a scene of dubious consent (the one being forced was surprised but not resistant, but the seme’s actions were not intended to be loving). I always think there are better storytelling options so I took a point off for that. The rest of the story had some moments dealing with loss which were sad, and lots of new love which was sweet.
