The absolute gold standard of bl. A very mature and complex story of two men centred around their lives in the Yakuza. Douemki and Yashiro are fully realised characters and so is the world they occupy. The mangaka is unbelievably good and you'd be hard pressed to find another bl which manages to create such a rich world and occupy it with a romance that truly made me want to weep at even a shared glance between the two. 10/10
This manwha is just incredible. Very good plot, excellent art (I love the Wolfgang and Shin's character designs), excellent characterization and a very interesting dynamic between the main couple. I fell in love instantly with this manwha and certain moments had me scrolling up to read it again and again. I adore Wolfgang and Shin. 9/10
My favourite Ginhiji doujinshi. The art is gorgeous and the characters are just like themselves. There's a softness and genuine sweetness in this one that is exceedingly rare for doujinshi's of this pairing. I personally consider it a companion piece to the incredible fanfic by nachan00 called How Fools Fall in Love so if you liked this you might like this fanfic too (there is NO actual connection they just remind me of each other and capture similar atmospheres) 10/10
I was deeply moved by this manga. About a young man who falls in love with a middle aged man after they cross paths on the subway. The mundanity of the story was I think what made this so effective and touching. 10/10
A very tender love story between two classmates and the best non-binary representation I've read. I cried quite a few times, very strong characters and the subject matter of the manga was handled quite well. 9/10
This manwha.... I have so many thoughts and feelings about it. In short, it blew me away and no other bl has redeemed a character quite as movingly as this one did. 10/10
Edit: after so long, reread this and I firmly believe this is the best BLs story I’ve ever read. The characters and their love are so sensitively and maturely portrayed. I feel like I got more from this story after aging a few years and that is a sign of an incredible work.
Legitimately the best executed trope of enemies to friends to lovers, forced to work together I've read. I have real trouble finding well written and well paced stories of this trope, usually in bl they end up sleeping together after a few chapters, I just want the slow burn goodness and if you are looking for the same then this manwha is IT. The caveat is that the story is still in its early stages so it's hard to say if it will maintain its quality, very hopeful. 8/10
Hot cops, drama, romance and an actual mystery? I am here for it 100%. Incredibly excited for this and I'm really hopeful because it's adapted from a novel which means it has a better chance of being a cohesive story. The art is gorgeous and the MCs are right up my alley. Both characters are well written and engaging. 8/10
Quite good. I have criticisms, mainly about the MC but other than that very enjoyable. The art is great and the yellow dragon character is gorgeous. 7/10
Ahhh, it was a dream come true when I found this bl. Egyptian mythology and yaoi? Yes please. Lived up to expectations but the story is not romance centric in the least and most of the characters are complete dicks. It was near impossible to stop reading once you get into it. I don't think there are any "good" protagonists but it's well written, beautifully drawn (just drool worthy) and has a very interesting plot. 9/10
Edit: downgrading to an 7.5/10 for now. Tough to read M
