Right off the bat, the first chapter had me hooked bc of how it ended. The story is really realistic and is maybe why it can be so relatable to the audience. A very well executed story that made me cry. But really happy how it ended.

2 friends meet by the sea
this story wasn’t even that sad, but I did shed a tear the first time I read this. Anyways, an absolutely lovely read and enjoyed the double perspectives of the leads.
a boy who grows up with a perfectionist father
Although not perfect, it's a good story. The tease where his life was getting better and then realizing that it was just what MC hoped for hit me in the gut. MC continued to live with his abusive dad and spiraled more to the point where he pushed his friends away, got burnt out to the point of making continued mistakes until eventually he made that choice.
