likable protagonists you want to root for

Luciel is my favorite weak-to-strong character because he works his ass off to get to where is is. Unlike your typical hardship and conflict-fueled story for the weak-to-strong trope, his story is one of determination and hard work; all the while being totally adorable and likeable. Good boi with good morals.

Larucu is your textbook cute shota boi! He's an adult at heart but his pure mind and kind intentions combined with that adorable character design and art make my knees weak.

As much as I love the female isekai genre, there are so many irritating protagonists. Florentia wasn't reincarnated as much as she was given a second chance and seeing this kind and adorable girl give herself the credit she deserves is madddd satisfying.

Ijin went through wayy more than any kid, adult or human should have experienced and when he finally gets home, all he wants is to be with his family and friends.
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing him get the love and comfort he deserves. An added bonus is that his family and friends are also great people, making these moments all the more precious.

Lloyd is a very unique character; having grown up around people who are insanely strong, he believes he is weak and wants nothing more than to become strong. His obliviousness to his own power is his selling point. This would have been frustrating in some cases but in Lloyd's case, it's adorable and makes you want to pat him on the head and tell him he's doing a good job.

Quena is a breath of fresh air. She's clearly OP and had affected the lives of those around her but her humbleness and her complete disregard of how important she truly is her charm.
I hope she settles into her new life well :)

If one great protagonist wasn't enough, this manga blesses us with 2 incredible ones. The strong adventurer who lives in the country side after losing a leg raises a daughter he found in the woods, who grows up to be the strongest adventurer.
A lovable and father-obsessed daughter and a lovable daughter-obsessed father.
How could you not fawn over them?

Totsuka was one of many students transported into a new world. Instead of accepting the role of a summoned warrior, he refuses and decides to join the army as a soldier instead.
Another hardworking MC who doesn't like taking shortcuts and has a good head on his shoulder. His lack of prejudice and his want to protect those close to him makes him a great protagonist. His friends are equally adorable and hardworking, despite their not-so-ideal circumstances.

A S-rank chef was kicked out of the hero part for being deemed as not useful enough. Instead of fretting over it, he leaves behind his adventurer life and starts a restaurant, attracting some troubled youth and protecting them in his own way.
This story has some great parent-like elements and a very wholesome relationship between the owner and his customers.
He's strong and caring and I wholeheartedly stan.

You would think an old yakuza boss renicarnated as a young princess would be odd but for some reason, it works so well. With the strong morals, brotherhood and bad-assery from his last life, he uses his strength to better the lives of those in his new life.
