i wanted to be better

Multiple stories. Different ways of death... I wonder if I would ever understand the different ways death can come without stories like this.

July 24th, 2020: You've died. Enter the offices of death, where you'll get divided into a department depending on how you died (murder, suicide, natural causes, etc.) and a special case agent to file you and decide where you'll go. We'll watch quietly as people from five-year-olds to old men pass through and show us their lives.

I want to copy all the panels. It's a strong story.

The art is simply beautiful. Sahara Mizu is an author where each work is unfailingly excellent, and Tetsugaku Letra is no exception. This story follows an severely introverted boy gain confidence and friends through learning salsa dancing, and an insecure tall girl trying her best at basketball. Multiple characters are introduced and each are fleshed out with their own appealing qualities.

Dynamic characters, a prepossessing female lead. Beautiful cartoonization. A story where each character is the main lead in their own right, with priorities, social circles, and actions unique to them.

Read it in one afternoon. For those who have felt depression before, may be traumatizing or comforting due to how spot-on it is to conveying the sense of dullness and being trapped over a lifetime. For those who haven't, may offer something new or be something that becomes a regretable read.

Glorious, plot-based and strategic. My first survival game story that triggered a rabbit hole of many others. If you enjoy stories with clever, analytical protagonists, you'll find this attractive. Even with the ingenious "games" in the story, however, it ensures it sets up the characterizations of every character (there's a lot) in the book to be able to give the good ol' emotional wallop when needed.

It taught me some useful things. Thank you to the sensei who created this.

How did it make me cry? I want to understand it better.

The stories that leave the greatest impact are the ones that pull out our emotions. Jeong Ji-Hoon does an excellent job pulling out despair. Two kids alone in an apocalyptic world. Wandering to survive, meeting other humans equally trapped, their adventures made me truly appreciate the safety and paradise of my life. It made me cry a lot, but the ending is hopeful and makes up for it (though the conclusion script is a bit lacking to me).

I like his thinking. More of a sketchier, loose line art style than other stories. The charm point lies in the protagonist's truly genius way of thought. He sees connections that others don't, and is also fluent in picking up emotional fluctuations and guessing ties to the truth. And, of course, while the story is centered around this character, he is lovable for the quirkiness the author refers back to - his pouf of hair, the smell of curry, and occasionally, unexpected naive happines

A beautiful example of a oneshot. Anyone who's binged the oneshot recommendations list will know that not only does this one stand out for setting up a whole world and cohesive plot in its narration, the author also brings a distinct flair of style to the personalities and events in it.

I want to make a story like this, maybe?
