A fresh take on the villainess vs reincarnated heroine trope. The scratchy art portrays the atmosphere of the work well. FL’s psychology shapes her responses to those around her very distinctly imo. BUT it’s not so much a “romance”-it just doesn’t feel like it. They have a polite relationship so far (they drink tea n she tells stories) but it feels somewhat insecure. The ml does not seem sane, not in a hot n sexy way, more in a “oh he could lose interest in her at any time if he gets bored” way.

Ok this is just straight-up BL smut lol. It starts out REALLY dodgy so trigger warning for r*pe. It becomes a super wholesome one tho which is why I added it. Kinda nonsensical but it’s one of the only ones like this that became actually consensual in the end, so I think it’s worth noting here if anyone enjoys this sort of read. This will be divisive tho so if it’s not ur thing just ignore this addition to the list!!!!!!!

NOTICE: removing <I Met the Male Lead in Prison> bc of the new art style of the remake. FL has been shoujo-ified and no longer has her cool deadpan expression, and the ML’s dangerous personality doesn’t look dangerous at all. Tldr it became more cartoonish and childish, although the quality of the new art is really high. It’s pretty but doesn’t fit the vibe and I don’t think I’m going to read it anymore!
