This was my first ever BL and honestly it is one of my favorites. I have never found anything that tops this! There is a nice bit of an exploration of sexuality and Mafuyu is literally just the best BL character ever written! He is so complex and has such a traumatic past yet he is able to overcome almost everything in his path. Uenoyama is also a great character with a lot of depth and is not your stereotypical tsundere love interest. Overall amazing story, characters, and art!
This is my favorite GL and Yuu has to be the best written GL character. I love how it explores aromantic characters, especially with Yuu. I do feel like Yuu is a gray aromantic, and it is captured so excellently in this manga. Touko is also so unique and deep, and her struggle with loving herself is so beautiful. They help each other and make each other better people and I just love them so much!
This was such an emotional rollercoaster. I usually hate love triangles, but this one was just so beautiful! The three main characters were so amazing and I loved their relationships and friendships and just discovering themselves as people. The ending fell a little short as it explains nothing and I feel like there should be a few chapters before the ending as it feels so unnatural and unsatisfying.
I cried the entire time reading this. It is such a beautiful exploration of sexuality and it covers so much, and it’s so natural. I really wish I had an Anonymous in my life growing up, but reading this made me feel so safe and happy. The MCs struggle with his sexuality and the homophobia he faces is so raw and natural, it never feels exaggerated. It’s such a beautiful and relatable story for all LGBT individuals!
This manga made me so happy and cry. I do not know much about the struggles of trans people, but I feel like this manga was tailored more towards cis people so that they could see the struggles trans people face. Akira is such a lovely character and I just wanted her to be happy. I am happy she was able to see she didn’t need a boyfriend to be a girl and that was so powerful and unexpected. Hime is also a great MC and I loved how she only wanted the best for her friend.
This BL was something else! It was just so amazing and I fell in love withe every character! I felt that this idea was very interesting, having the main character be an observer of another love story, and I was right! I’m glad that everything does eventually get resolved and that everyone gets a good ending. This was also the first BL where I was actually equally invested in both couples. No BL has ever managed to do that for me, but for some reason this BL was able to reach a good balance
This GL was such a quick read, but I love the romance between Qiu Tong and Sun Jing. They remind so much of Ymir and Historia from AOT, and I seek comfort in them. They are just so cute and adorable I just want them to fall in love and be together forever!
This BL was so painfully relatable wtf. The MC is such a simp and he’s so in love, but this is not a happy story. It does not work out well for him in the end, but unlike other stories I am not sad. It’s realistic and it’s a sort of acceptance that I can understand. It was a nice wake up call to show that just because your crush doesn’t love you back, it’s not the end of the world. This manga just shows how beautiful and fun the simple act of crushing on someone is.
I loved seeing a real depiction of LGBT from an LGBT person themselves. Being raised in a western society, I was still able to relate to the MC and their struggles within the gay community. It is really toxic and hard to date as everyone is struggling with their sexuality.
This was a masterpiece of a story. It’s such a beautiful and realistic tale of love, it was really enjoyable to read. We saw the characters go through the stages of life, and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Please read it, it was definitely make your heart melt!
