This series is one of the best bar none, it starts out with the usual trope of childhood friends but from there it remains fresh and heart -tugging. The main characters have depth and complex feelings. The Kei-chan is by no means clueless as an uke more of a true innocent. The love between Mii-kun and Kei-chan is true, sweet and strong.
A sweet side story from the Border manga - Will and Yamato go on a date. All the harder to read knowing the ultimate fate of this romance, and knowing that Will never declares himself to Yamato. And Kokaka's sexy art is the icing on the cake (plus the comedic zing at the end).
One of the sweetest stories in the T&B doujin. Sexy and worth the read.
A sweet story, high schooler and Mahjong maven Mio befriends a college age guy Yugi, and ends up falling in love (or at least lust, initially) after he witnesses Mio and a sempai Tachibana having sex. Turns out Yugi gets his heart broken and Mio takes advantage to comfort him and get closer - to no avail. Four years later Mio and Yugi meet again, and this time the romance blossoms...
What I like about this story is that the characters are in love, and there's no ambiguity about it. Harutomo and Kazushi are a sweet couple, you can feel their emotions, and more importantly, how much they value each other. There's no rape meeting, no 'childhood friend' tropes, in fact, their first meeting is rather ordinary, and that's what makes the story believable.
This one will wring your heart and squeeze out every last drop. Worth reading
This story is a spin off of Minori no Te, but I think it's a better storyline and the characters are more interesting. Young waka in training Tatsuyuki usually spends his time driving his 'nanny' Asoda nuts with his antics, while resisting his destined role. Transferred to another town to 'cool down' after a failed romance, he has a fateful encounter with two figures from his past, the 'rotten ikemen' Nozomi and the sly Yakuza boss Roji. Tatsu is one sexy boy.
What I like about this series is that as much as it explains dance, it also explains romantic love. The build up between the two leads is slow, sexy and sultry. Ongoing as of this review, but worth the read.
I'm adding this to the Yaoi list, even though there is no romance to speak of. A truly touching story, you can feel the grief Mike carries from losing his beloved husband. He wants to connect to his husband's surviving twin and his family because they're the only ones who share his memories of his husband and loved him in turn. I like how this realistically portrays the relationship Mike develops with his husband's twin and Kana, the daughter. Realistic family interactions.
Although there are very violent themes in this manga, I can't help but adore this artist's derpy-in-love couples. The best sex scenes next to K2-san. Real emotion in the romatic scenes. And when the couples have time to be lovey-dovey it's so stupidly cute you'll get a nosebleed.
