Ryouko introduces her best friend Yajima to her new boyfriend Otoumi and the three soon become good friends. However, Ryouko and Otoumi soon break up and the three are kept together only because of Yajima's friendship with Otoumi. The three are eventually separated when the two boys head off to college, but soon feelings begin to develop between Yajima and Otoumi.

Otoumi and Yajima are now living together. Their friend Ryouko is getting married and wants her friends to come visit for the wedding. Otoumi decides to stay behind, leaving Yajima alone to visit with Ryouko, who then questions him about his relationship with Otoumi.
