Horikoshi is a blessing. I adore the characters and art style, plotline has to be one of the most unoriginally original things I've ever read. I'll never stop recommending this manga. Cried like 79 times. But I'm also terribly biased when it comes to this manga so maybe it isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Even though the manga does suffer from the sexualization of minors, it also touches on subjects such as poverty, addictions, debt and depicts those topics in a very casual way so you might not even notice it at first. Also the men in the manga are practically useless and I support that message. #gamblinglesbians2021
Quanxi for president is all I'm going to say. Thank you Fujimoto.
This manga straight up has one of the most beautiful art styles I've ever seen. The use of backround, lines and visuals is stunningly beautiful. The manga is queer-coded, so I hope that GL will also play a factor in this manga. And wow, I just love how easy it is to find some aspect of yourself in either of the two main protagonists.
read it for yourself and find out. jesus christ i loved it too much for my own good. absolutely heartbreaking. i don't think there's much to say except for read it for yourself.
kiznaiver is actually one of the most criminally underrated manga i've read. i've watched the anime first, it's just a really original story with unique and interesting characters. the manga includes bisexual representation, and in my opinion, depicts bisexuality very well. it really gets you invested in whatever's happening to the characters because it really is hard to avoid getting attached to them, they're all very relatable, in some aspects, at least.
i don't think i have to explain this one, everyone's by now, heard of death note. but it's really much more than your typical mystery manga. it's a story of human morals, it's a battle of wits, and the characters and plot still holds up this day. what i don't like about this manga is the way it treats women. death note is pretty misogynistic, and it's really hard to ignore it at times because it's so BLATANT, but apart from that the manga is incredible.
Again, it's Junji Ito, so it's hard to turn down. By this point everyone should know the absolute cult classic horror manga that is Tomie. All I can say, which is still too little, is that it's a classic for a reason. The art is absolutely breathtaking, as it is clear that Ito puts so much work into the art he puts out into the world.
Bungou Stray Dogs is a manga I often think about and wish to read for the first time again. I'd pay a good sum of money just to relive the experience of this manga again. I remember being so star-struck by the knowledge that the characters were real people, I was completely immersed into the universe and everything it had to offer me. Even though the manga isn't finished yet, I can't help but feel nostalgic as if it is. It's fighting for first place on my list.
Alright. There's a lot to say about this manga, but I am unfortunately very limited with my words here, so I'll be quick. Just incredible. I was justifiably afraid that the ending would ruin my experience with the manga since I saw it coming, and was afraid of the route the author might take. But it was pulled off fantastically. Beautiful story about human life and how we use and percieve it. But even saying that that's the plot is simply insulting. AIB is truly something else.
