Oh God. It doesn't get fluffier or more adorable than this. And the good news is? It is long. I love how it's basically episodic, and how their relationship evolves and how they grow closer with time. I also love, love, love the emphasis that is also put on their friendship. They are far and away among all of the couples I've read about the most believable as two best friends who happen to be in love.
If you get scared away by the first page, well, I don't really blame you, but I promise it's not that bad. It's actually quite sweet and very much a silly farce. It doesn't take itself seriously. It's not rough sex for the sake of rough sex. It just kind of...happens. The tone of the whole thing makes it easy to take. It's supposed to be funny, and for the most part it is.
It's a silly premise but damn is it charming. This poor, painfully shy bunny boy. He's so lovable but it's easy to see why it would get frustrating to try to date a guy who'll never let you see his face. It's a very, very sweet story, though. I wish it were longer.
This is beautiful. It's charming and sweet and leaves you with an incredible, warm, fuzzy feeling. The main character is so relatable and it's so satisfying to see him opening up and letting other people into his heart. I love the way the art is used to communicate his anxieties (and fantasies). And the last chapter, involving the owner of the boarding house, is so lovely. What a beautiful story.
A pretty cute story about a guy who can see the number of lies people have told in their lives hovering over their heads. He meets a guy whose number is "0" and that captivates him quite quickly. What I like, though, is that seeing people's numbers makes him kind of a closed-off jerk and meeting someone so completely straightforward helps him be less judgmental and grow up about it. It's sweet.
Nice sequel to "Count 0". Nothing groundbreaking, really, but the characters are still cute and they're definitely enough to carry the story.
I like the main couple a lot. They're fun and tempestuous and I'm glad they addressed their issues and were able to get past them in order to be together. A good friends-to-lovers story. But what makes it a great read overall is that on top of the truly wonderful side characters. The sister is a badass. And the secondary couple deserves their own story. It's also hilarious. I love it.
I realize I have cultivated with this list something of a little corner of fluffy escapism. Of course there is much that is deep and meaningful that can be found in that, but I can say without reservation that I feel that this story is the most important. It is realistic and beautiful, moving and utterly uplifting. It's a grounded, intergenerational coming out story and it is handled with honesty, grace, and respect. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I'm so weary of on-going stories with only one chapter, but the cover really pulled me in and I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I love the art. The attraction between the characters is palpable. I'm beyond excited to see more.
What a wonderful story. It was sweet. It had good moments of humor. And the art is wonderful. It's a style I'm not used to but one I quickly grew to like. Every singe frame is chosen perfectly to represent the emotion of the scene, which is brilliant. It's such a unique style I'd recommend it for that alone. But it's also a beautiful story (opposites attract) well worth reading.
