The yandereness starts to appear later on, its steady and takes its time!!! ( good read but it takes a LONG time to get to the yandere)
The yandere in this is the male lead. This manga is amazing, though the ML's possessiveness does feel more comedic in a way. I highly recommend you read this manga, it's just that good!
