BDSM is a practice that allows consenting adults to act out a number of kinks and fetishes, with an emphasis on CONSENT.
The acronym can be divided into BD (bondage & discipline), DS (domination & submission), and SM (sadism & masochism). All of these categories involve different sexual interests, and can overlap with each other in a dynamic.
[Safeword] - A special word that will end a BDSM scene immediately
[Dom] - Dominant partner; in control; giving orders; setting rules
[Sub] - Submissive partner; giving up control; receiving orders
[Bondage] - Restraining someone with ropes, chains, etc
[Discipline] - Rules/tasks set by a Dom for a sub, with punishments/rewards
[S&M] - Sadism&Masochism, receiving (M) or inflicting (S) pain for pleasure
[Established Dynamic] - Visible/established power exchange
[Impact] - Pain, spanking, slapping, choking, whipping
[Collaring] - A sub that receives a collar from their Dom as an act of affection
[Master/slave] - A dynamic of ownership between a Dom and sub
[Pet-play] - Owner and pet, can include props and include roleplay
[Roleplay] - Performing or acting out a certain dynamic/scenario for a BDSM scene

Quick and fantastic read with incredible BDSM representation. Sadly a oneshot, so it's a very short-lived experience but it's definitely worth checking out.

Probably the best BDSM webtoon out there. The representation is SPOT ON, and it's a fantastic dynamic with a very good understanding of what makes BDSM what it is. Nothing fake going on, and it doesn't fetishise Dom/sub relationships (the way other stories do), so I would 100% recommend this as a great portrayal of BDSM.

Hilarious story of two idiots in a very textbook-definition BDSM relationship. A lot of kink representation reaching all the way to leather/latex. Overall a funny and extremely adorable story that I highly recommend checking out. It's not too long, which is honestly a shame given how well it addresses kink.
There is a lot of comedy, which unfortunately overshadows the D/s dynamic.

Pretty great story with an accurate representation of BDSM. The sub can sometimes come off as a bit reluctant to partake in the play sessions, which is probably my only critique of the story.

On top of dubcon, this story has a lack of safewording which is a huge issue. Also, the sub doesn’t seem readily invested in BDSM, while the Dom is quite experienced. This leads to a power imbalance that is never addressed, which can be dangerous.
Despite all this, I quite enjoy this story and find myself rereading it every now and then. Highly recommend it, but not as an intro to BDSM.

Defined Dom/sub relationship with S&M play. Lots of bondage, impact play, humiliation/degradation.
Probs one of the best BDSM stories ever. Although the introduction of kink is what gets the story going, it really takes a back seat as the plot develops. So while it's a great read, keep that in mind if you're simply looking for a quick BDSM story.

This anthology is awesome! Highly recommended.
A collection of oneshots revolving around BDSM/kink, with shockingly good representation. Some chapters are better than others but the overall experience is great, regardless.
My personal favourites are chapters 1, 2, 5, 7 & 9. The others are great as well, but those mentioned above nailed it. Didn't like chapters 3 or 4, toxic dubcon.
