Every single character thinks that the scary looking character is evil incarnate, and a continuous series of coincidences reinforce this. However, he is actually kinder than every other character in the book. What I love the most about this is that, while he recognizes it in some situations, for the most part the main character is completely oblivious to the fact that everyone fears and/or is hostile towards him.

Beelzebub is one of the stupidest series I know of, and I enjoyed nearly every moment of it.
•
I'm not a fan, to be honest. Everyone talks about how it has some deeper meaning that has to do with transitioning into adulthood. I'm not seeing it. Just fanservice and stupidity.
•
A woman raised by yakuza teaches a school of idiotic delinquents. You can tell where this is going. Note that even though it is considered a romance, there is very little romance, and it happens towards the end.
• (the male lead; well, I guess that's debatable, lol)

This manga is practically the reason I made this list. I recommend it even if you don't enjoy BL. If that's the case, then just avoid the last chapter (the second to last chapter looks like they're going to get intimate, but nothing actually happens).

Assuming it sticks true to the anime, then this series definitely fits and is highly recommended.
•
I might be wrong in assuming most of the characters fall into this category, but from what I remember, they do.

One of the main characters is normal. The other, definitely not. Then again, neither are the majority of the characters in this quirky manga.
Totally worth reading, even if you don't like BL. It is absolutely hysterical. There's one quick smutty scene that's like, two pages you need to skip over, and then just don't read the last chapter.
• (one of the male leads)
The female lead is the foil, but I hesitate to call her normal. While she is a genius, she is extremely dense when it comes to matters of the heart. The male lead... well, he's a lost cause.
