>>Uke is a humanoid with an 'imprinting' fxn, so all sex in chp 1-4 is dub. From chp 1-3, Seme is using Uke as a way to get revenge on a past lover.

R: That 'Void' scene in chp 4 took my breath away. I'm just a sucker for the whole 'is this programming or is it me?' type of philosophical exploration.

Part 1 of 3 (Chp 1-3.1): Yakuza Series

T: Abusive relationship, Homophobia, Torture, Rape, Dubcon, Codependency, Stockholm/Lima Syndrome
>>Seme is future head of yakuza. Trained Uke to be completely loyal to him, which worked too well and he Regrets.

R: I ended up not really liking the couple in the sequels, but they still hit the spot where brutal Seme falls in love and becomes terrified of a life w/o Uke, so I dig.

Part 2 of 3: Yakuza Series

T: Look at Part 1
>>Seme's decision throughout manga + lack of a resolution to equal consequence of fallout made it impossible for me to completely fall for the couple.

R: Super compelling scenes, like Seme refusing to marry out of love for Uke. It almost (but still unable to) makes up for the couple's turnoffs. But it's a realistic considering they're gddam YAKUZA lol.

Part 3 of 3: Yakuza Series

T: Same as Part 1
>>Uke offers body for Seme to take frustrations out on. Fortunately, Seme has undergone character development and they have normal rough sex instead lol.

R: I liked the ending. The tables turn when the Seme risks his life for the Uke instead. Huge milestone as Seme did train Uke in beginning so that he would die if Seme asked. Now lookie, with Seme being all 'nah bb we die for each other' lol.

T: Underage, assault, rape, Adult/Minor, suicide attempt
>>Uke is in HS. Assaulted chp 1 (Seme later gives him noncon BJ), then raped in chp 3-4. Suicide attempt + adult/minor sex in chp 6.

R: So what struck out to me most was that the rape scene was more graphic than the sex scene between Uke and Seme. This made the rape more central to the story and uncomfortable for the reader, which is different than usual rape depictions. Tbh, I appreciated it.

T: Abusive relationship (gaslighting, domestic violence, coercion, etc.), Cheating
>>Usually wouldn't put cheating as trigger, but Uke portrays symptoms of Cluster C personality disorder & it's heartbreaking to see him choose an abusive relationship over healthy one.

R: Striking portrayal of victims' mentality when choosing abusive relationship. Uke is wasting away and still decides to stay, even tho all he wants is Seme who treats him lovingly. Drowns in guilt+shame o

T: Dubcon, Unhealthy relationship, Toxic ideals
>>Seme keeps saying how Uke and other humans "are just food" and likens them to cattle. Sure thing, promised neverland.

R: I like the idea of being in a relationship where there are things you can never reconcile. Humans are food and vampires are monsters. But in the end, if you love the human or love the vampire, all that matters is what the loved ones do to keep building, both, the relationship and each other.

Omegaverse AU, Part 1 of 2: Bye Alpha Series

T: Sexual tension between child (alpha, grows up to be seme) and teen (uke, omega)
>>Only a kiss shared between Seme and Uke--ofc still not ok--but there were way too many close calls there. xD

R: Chp 5-5.5
>>Reunion was what made story. I wish that & life afterwards could've been the 4 chapters instead. >_< It was very sweet how they waited for each other for 10 years even w/how desperate they were for each other

Omegaverse AU, Part 2 of 2: Bye Alpha Series

T: Age Difference (7 years difference, Uke is older)
>>There's also their whole history of them meeting as child/teen and feeling that instant sexual tension of an alpha/omega.

R: Life after reuniting, Realization that all that glitters isn't gold
>>Love the peeks we got into their life together. It was gratifying. Also, part where friend of Seme said "fated pairs seem more like a curse than blessing" and I loved that

T: Incest between step-bros, unhealthy relationship, child abuse depiction
>>Chp 2-4, Uke and Seme become bros w/benefits, which is all kinds of emotional torture for both of them lol. Both feet in or both feet out you two.

R: Chp 5-6
>>The part where Uke accepts relationship with Seme really hit me in the feels. Author-san chose the right page to freaking color because, whoo, it took my breath away. And I loved the look we got into their new relationship ^^
