MC kept going on about how she can't understand why she's the child of promise or summ and idk maybe it's her starting age, but her mentality makes it hard for me to continue reading. She's just always always ALWAYS confused.. to the point where it makes me confused and frustrated. I've read a lot of isekai material, but this one was just not it for me.
It became a very short webtoon and the story lost me
Like girl, there was about 7 short ass chapters about rose jam. 7... THAT'S LIKE THREE MONTHS nuh uh, I'm not doing this again after that one duchess isekai tea webtoon with that one MC who wears a green dress, I literally cannot have a redo of that.
Story wasn’t interesting enough and the art is low key bland too, there’s nothing striking about the “striking” scenes. The illustrator would try to draw shocking scenes where there needs to emphasis to relay shock, but the drawings just get all blended together. Facial expressions of characters don't change all that much, and it's hard to continue to read a webtoon like that. And I've read some webtoons with TERRIBLE art but GREAT storyline and loved those
most of the sex scenes were of Chanbit (MC) and his ex/abuser/blackmailer Youngha. Like I really do get why Youngha and Chanbit's past relationship was pivotal to the story, but author didn't have to include so many sex scenes for them :/ At some point, author also explained quite a bit about Youngha's childhood... which I did not care for tbh. I get he had a rough childhood, but that was no excuse for what he did and continued to do to Chanbit. I honestly felt like it was a wast
I began to like the art less and less. As I read, I found myself being irked by the art. Kinda like how you suddenly get the ick on a date. I tried to stay for the plot, but I found myself skimming chapters and not wanting to register any of the lore of the plot.
She fell in love with someone I viewed to be not only her babysitter but her second brother. I’ve read some weird age gaps in manga from 2012, but this just didn’t do it for me. I felt like their romance was forced and it kinda felt like she imprinted on emiel like a baby chick. I was hoping their relationship would stay platonic, but then Emiel liked her too hugging her and all when she was LITERALLY the same height as his kneecaps
The art is beautiful, but I didn’t enjoy the plot so much. Lippe went from trying to save her family and dealing with her feelings in the past as “present Lippe” to becoming an idol… not just a classical socialite but a full-on idol with endorsements and singing.
The transition was a bit weird for me, and I no longer looked forward to the updates. That’s when I knew I had to drop this we toon despite the art being so fucking gorgeous.
Everyone looks the same… even after it became colored
Honestly, I didn’t enjoy it so much. The backstory and everything is great, but the way the story itself unfolds is lacking and end is sort of rushed and feels incomplete. I didn’t feel like there were any particular dramatic highs or lows, just sort of felt linear throughout the story. Carsein was my favorite character and, personally, the most enjoyable character in the webtoon. Other than that, the only redeeming part of this webtoon was the art and the timing of the isekai genre.
Kind of the similar derailing in Lady Baby. Leticia from trying to lift Erden’s curse to becoming a devil and iPad kid. I might come back to this WEBTOON later on in the future if the plot gets better though, since I really did enjoy the art style.
Just hate the lady-baby-like derailing.
