Sublime is all I can say. The art is absolutely magnificent. No way else to put it. The novel this is based on is so sweet, my teeth are swimming and seeing the novel come to life like this, beautiful. I had to go back an reread the novel to truly appreciate this adaptation. Bravo.

Art, oh damn. Story, hot damn. Sex, GYAT DAMN! Everything in this is fantastic. Sure, the story is slightly predictable but holy hell, the sex scenes in this? Absolutely phenomenal. I honestly would keep reading just for the sex. I'm filthy but fuck it, this is some delicious god damn lesbian food.
WARNING: Has cheating? Kind of I guess. And it's a bit messed up in the psychological sense. Also some ab*se and suggestive s**ual assault.
I love the art and the story is definitely not your run of the mill 'cute girl meets new girl and she has a dangerous ex bent on revenge' plot of most I've read. It's refreshing and different. I like that and I'm definitely going to follow this one. It's already pretty spicy.
Stunning is all I can say, both in art style and characterization. The story is quite mysterious and the sex, while implied, is still visually fantastic. And Aria, whew! She can strap me down anytime. The chemistry between A Qing and Aria is palpable and super sweet. I just hope Aria isn't playing with her feelings, considering the plot and how sneaky she appears to be. I wonder what her ulterior motives are. But I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one.
Quick and dirty. Just like I like it. Not just a story without a plot, but it's got some punch behind the fucking. Love the art as I'm a fan of Love Thy Neighbor. So I knew I would like this right away. Beautiful art, hot sex, and funny bits all make this a fantastic one-shot.
Love me some historical GL! Also love their dynamic already. The art style is awesome and I feel like things will only get better. It has comedy, romance, action, and hot anthroelf action. What more could you ask for!

Cuz yeah for whatever reason I see some people completely love it or others are rating super low, at least on MAL, from what I’ve seen.
A lot of people dislike it because it presses on every sensitive button at once: age gap, power imbalance, sexual assault, cheating, even the “gay for pay” and religious angle. That cocktail's going to set off alarms for some, especially in GL space where people are often looking for softness, safety, and affirming dynamics.
When a sapphic story leans into moral grayness instead of comfort, it gets scrutinized harder. Add in the visual coding; one character looking older, less "kawaii", thin enough that you can see her ribs, and suddenly it doesn’t fit the cute, symmetrical yuri template people are used to. For some, that feels uncomfortable. For me, that contrast is part of what makes LtN compelling, intense, and my number one.
I think the big divide comes down to whether people see it as glorifying toxicity or exploring complicated human behavior. Depiction isn’t endorsement. Stories about flawed, messy, even ethically questionable relationships can still be powerful if they’re interrogating those dynamics instead of pretending they’re perfect.
Not every GL has to be soft and healing; some are sharp and reckless and uncomfortable on purpose. That doesn’t make them bad; it makes them provocative. And provocative art and stories will always split a room. That's my 2 cents.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
