Subconscious assumptions are everywhere. Our perception system built itself upon it, supersedes 'foreign' concepts and softly whispers into our ears words we want to hear, at times not what the world tells us. Thus, personal change may require more than just proving yourself to others, but also internally realizing the actual forces behind which our actions and feelings are driven, and thoroughly deal with them. Only by knowing our position can we move with a cool head.
