Moody series poignant in its portrayal of pining and intimacy.
It's an uncle and his nephew, except they're not actually related. Hideyoshico, for all her works, does a damn good job at developing shit. I can’t come up with anything right now, but I will say: reading this, I was concerned, but intrigued. And now I'm hooked.
Their dynamic is essentially: person tries to understand gay person, only to catch feelings in the process. It's been a while since I read it, but I recall making extensive comments on this one. It effectively explores what it's life to be a homosexual in a non-accepting society, as well as captures the POV of someone living in said society learning about LGBTQ+ issues for the first time.
We've got a Burnt Out Author and Infatuated Editor here, folks. Great portrayal of writing struggles. Characters are surprisingly grounded in reality and make for an interesting pair thematically as author and reader. Overall effective use of tone + exploration of themes. Interested in more.
Series features an Interesting Nurse and a teacher who is just kind of...tired. Prequel begins on an interesting premise (think sex as therapy), but it progressively develops into a loving relationship as they understand each other. They're sweet. Sequel's been school hijinks, but also them learning how to navigate a blooming relationship in spite of their problems.
[ Social Butterfly Actor x Reclusive Former Child Star ]
--- I keep thinking Glasses's name is Arthur, but his name's actually Andrew.
I was personally annoyed by the characters at first, but they grew on me as they became more compelling/interesting. Sexual tension's built up nicely. Blondie has an ongoing Acting-related conflict that seems interesting. Glasses also has his thing as a former child star. Likely long manhwa so I'm sure the ride'll be interesting.
Comedic series featuring our closeted gay disaster MC and a buff pirate lady. Lovely art style + interesting concept! Character interactions are striking and flashy. While there's not much happening now, I've enjoyed it so far.
