i had 0 expectations but damn... this blew me away. the premise is that the mc is asked to fool the chairman of a company and the ml is said chairman's grandson and doesn't like the mc. from there, the way their relationship develops, the slow burn, insane romantic tension, chemistry-the way their story ends before it could start and then their reunion-it's all just SO fantastic. like this honestly lacks NOTHING. made me cry until i ached. absolutely brilliant.

im not even gonna lie ive gatekept this from my list for so long cause its MY comfort manga. but then upon my 1000th reread i was like damn maybe someone else can discover this absolute diamond if i add it to my list. this story of a teacher and a tattoo artist genuinely makes me feel so soft. the healthiest and cutest relationship ever. the art is soo pretty and just everything about this feels like sinking into bed and snuggling into a warm blanket as it rains.

my shortest rec c: the most heartwarming love story between a wildlife photographer and the villager that lets him stay in his home. the story of two men who loved each other the moment they saw each other without knowing, of taking that first step even when scared. the most gorgeous art ever with such realistic characters and a plot that tugs on your heart. i so wish there was more.

a dungeon fantasy story where the mc is an S-class hunter running from his tragic past. new rule: if i liked it enough to read the entire original novel and it didn't disappoint, the series is a 10, and this fits the bill. this story is so fantastic and if you love action fantasies, tragic backstories, green flag mls, strong mcs, engaging plots, solid worldbuilding, development, and slow burns, you HAVE to read this.

this is not a true bl. it's a bl parody, and if you're familiar with the parody genre in manga, then you'll know that not only are they beyond hilarious, but also better than serious manga in their genre. our mc knows he lives in a bl world and constantly muses upon the countless bl couples around him, dissecting their tropes, stereotypes, and storylines with the kind of dry humor that has you trying not to cry of laughter. must read!

coming of age + childhood friends with a whipped seme and realistic main characters with all the morality and sex drives of highschoolers. the best depiction of sexual trauma i have ever seen in a manga and the way the relationship develops??? goddamn. fantastically written with the suspense and the dynamic between the leads being so painfully good. i might rank this as a 10 soon!

the cutest and funniest coming-of-age friends to lovers story between two highschool boys who are just so stupid and so realistically written and so in love with each other!!! the best supporting cast, too, they didn't intrude on the story but were still one of the best parts about it. the mcs are in such painfully realistic situations with their school life and families and just, so so so good, genuinely such a hidden gem that i cannot recommend enough!!

a love story about how a man unfairly fired from his job seeks out a potter who will unknowingly get him his job back! it took me so long to start reading this bc i was skeptical but it is so good, the art is really good and the romance + development is AMAZING!!! a slow burn with smut is practically unheard of in bl but this story has it!!! it also has a whipped seme, lies and deceit, a very likable uke, satisfying ending and so much more! really fun read <3

why are the best manhwas the shortest ones TT i guess it gives the author no time to fuck up the characters, cause this 10-chaptered manhwa has GORGEOUS art ft. a beautiful puppy-like ml and a tsundere, cute af, and lovable mc with the best dynamic. their interactions?? their dialogue??? their stupid antics??? they're so fucking cute!! there's not a single bad thing i can say about this story, which is so rare, it's impossible.

the story of a duke killed by his loyal knight and the absolute shitstorm that unfolds as a result. how do i summarize this story to recommend it? i literally don't want to mention anything so that anyone who reads this has 0 prior knowledge and can feel the full force of the plot when it hits you, and lord does it HIT you. beautifully crafted and intricately woven, this story scared me, healed me, and made me cry until i couldnt breathe.
