9/8/26: reading this through (again?) in the big 2026 after watching the anime. in the end it was a very gentle coming of age story about kids learning about dating and friendship and family and all the love around them that they deserve. a lot of heartache toward the end, and no one's perfect, but in the words of ginji-san, everyone deserves to fall in love <3
