This is an anthology series that does exactly as it says on the tin, the villainesses find happiness and I am here for it:
'Annuled Engagements, Take That's, Condemnation Events, Doting, Royals, Reincarnated Heroines, Banishment Endings...it's fully loaded with all the charms of Villainess'!!
A comicalization of 5 popular villainess stories from Shousetsuka ni Narou!!
An anthology of 5 oneshots with happy endings!!'
It's angsty but the exploration of these characters and the reveal of what happened are engaging:
"Chiwoo’s got issues. Upon returning to school after the “incident” last year, he vows to keep to himself and stay out of trouble until graduation. Easier said than done: his bad boy reputation has made him the talk of the school, and Kyujin - class president and model student - won’t stop being friendly. Trouble arrives soon enough in the shape of Jihyun, a tattooe
I do not like the age gap of these characters but the rest of the story is interesting, which sorta makes the moments they remind you of the age gap worse:
"Mason, a mercenary, dies after being betrayed by his teammates. However, the moment he opened his eyes, Mason somehow woke up in the body of Hollywood troublemaker, Haley, infamous for his drug overdose scandals and promiscuity. This also happened shortly after Haley attached himself to America golden boy Noah!"
None of these characters are good people and they do bad things to each other but the story is well-written:
"Lai is a man who's known to solve any problem for cash in the underworld, and he has been commissioned by Edwin, head of the noble Theodore family, for a secret mission. He needs Lai to stand in for his missing brother, Ellen; thankfully, the two are nearly identical."
It's a mafia fix so let's just get that out of the way first:
"Koo Hojin, who constantly falls for people to a fault, and Baek Yoosung, the authoritative and arrogant heir to a large company, spend the best and worst one-night stand together. A few days later, under one condition, Yoosung pays off Hojin's debt"
Ooh, I love it, the way they go from antagonistic to antagonistic and mad about each other:
"Hamin, who comes from a household of gangsters, is fixated on having an ‘ordinary life’. One day, he gets kidnapped by hostile forces. As soon as it happens, his father sends Sehyuk to be placed by his side. However, the man stands out too much. For Hamin who just wants live a normal life, a strong force by the name of Sehyuk has made his way into his regular daily life."
It's really interesting, it took the premise to places I genuinely didn't expect and played the relationships well:
"One day while eating chicken, Se-hyeon came into a novel she wrote out of nowhere. Se-hyeon immediately became the idiot princess Ione in the novel. Why would the fate of Ione be determined today? In order not to die, I must prevent the Emperor from being killed! Running to stop the incident, she ran into a man. A man loosely holding a sword dripping with blood.&quo
Their relationship was always sincere and figuring out what was gonna happen next made the plot interesting:
"He looked down, bullied and scolded his subordinates endlessly, and after winning the war you asked me to love you out of nowhere and proposed in front of so many people? Are you out of your mind?"
The progress of their relationship is just adorable:
"Carlyle, a non-dominant Alpha born in an aristocratic Alpha family, had difficulty having a mandatory relationship with an omega and even received counseling. The counselor encouraged him to have sex with an Alpha in order to overcome his difficulties. As Carlyle searches for a partner, he gets to meet Ash by chance. The two once shared a kiss on New Year’s Eve but unfortunately, the aristocrat doesn’t seem to remember."
So glad it ended when it did because it felt like a natural conclusion:
Reborn into the body of the villainess, our Korean performer decides to cut off things with the male protagonist and make a name for herself as a perfumer in this new world
Though I May Be a Villainess, I'll Show You I Can Obtain Happiness!
