The author of this story has done some very questionable things, but if you're able to separate them from their work, I think this is a good read. Review in Progress.

+ enemies to lovers
I had to include this controversial (but undeniably an iconic) story. The 2 MCs aren't blood related, but due to the marriage of their parents, they begin a new journey as step sisters. With personalities that are complete opposites, they begin to learn to appreciate and even love their differences. I honestly thought it was an enjoyable read, especially with the way that the MCs challenged each other, leading them to both grow outside their boundaries.

I'm not a huge fan of this story, but it's a popular yuri, so I included it. IMO, there's alot of back and forth misunderstandings, which drags the story out, making it feel a little repetitive. Their relationship development is slow, and made it frustrating at times. Granted, it's realistic as the MCs are young and inexperienced. Nevertheless, the artstyle is pretty good, and there are some good side characters that contribute to the story.
+ dropped by author :(
+ slice of life
This is the first yuri story I ever read, and it will always have a special place in my heart. The story follows 2 schoolgirls that slowly become acquainted, and learn to explore what their love for each other really means. Unfortunately, the Chinese gov has stopped the author from continuing the story. Regardless, I would still recommend this story for someone looking to get into yuri as most of their relationship was developed before dropping.
+ slow burn
I initially didn't enjoy the dynamic between the MCs, but grew to appreciate it! There's not alot of explicit romance here, the story is more focused on the development of feelings, and the barriers to overcome fears when addressing your emotions. I like how the main love interest isn't as "in your face", and takes time for the MC (and the reader) to realize what she's feeling, and for who.

+ 1shot
This isn’t really an “iconic” yuri that most people would think of, but tbh it’s one of my favourite reads. It’s a one shot, but the relationship between the MCs is just sooo good! If you like strong female leads, this is a perfect short story.
