Jii-Wan(the vampire), who else? Too kind-hearted for his own good, who suffers since his teens 100s of yrs ago by the hands of ALL the other MCs, whose dark emotions control them and do despicable things: the OBSESSED mother tying him to her for decades; his maker whose possessiveness drives him to chase Jii-Wan til the ends of the earth; the smitten daughter consumed by jealousy. No happy ending. The read made me ANGRY; but the next day, I woke up to the fact that I loved it.
IZARE makes my heart sink. Everything in his life from the beginning to now is hell, adding the way he doesn't put any value on himself but covertly sacrifices his whole being, goes to shocking lengths to protect Jino whom he considers his whole life & seen as a monster in everyone's eyes. It's truly horrifyingly realistic. I don't even know what to say anymore.

I know it's not a competition, but damn poor Yeonduk. It's been incredibly visible how much this whole situation has worn him down. Skyler's life hasn't been a picnic either, but it's harder to tell with him because of that strong front he puts on. I just want them to be happy.

Jaeha, w/o a doubt.
There are 4 MC: brothers Jaeha (the kind and always smiling) and the expressionless Yoseob (whose idea of love includes murder), the popular 'bitchy' girl Yura, and a schoolmate (boy) who's Yura's friend and knows the brothers from way back when, seems to hate Jaeha while being terrified of Yoseob.
Regardless of the cruel choices and attitudes of the 3 others, who you might come to dislike/hate because of it, I personally can't & feel so sorry for them as well.

Both Ako & Teru. Those two aren't spared, be it physically or psychologically. Fuck.
After witnessing his classmates perish in a violent train wreck, Teru discovers 2 survivors in the tunnel. But salvation from this carnage is far from their grasp, buried as they are in complete darkness, lacking food and water, and with the stench of death and decay escalating by the day. A never-ending Hell has just begun.

Despite everything being so twisted,their love alone is so pure. It shines like a light in the darkness.Because the scene around them is so gruesome and dark,their love shines even brighter.
