The ML literally beheaded our FL in her first life. He's cold, cruel, distant... but such a lonely, tortured soul in need of genuine warmth. I NEED this broken boy to have a happy ending.
Like the FL is abused in cruel ways, the FL's family also drugs and abuses the ML to pure insanity. I feel genuinely bad for him, and the novel's 'happy ending' didn't sit right with me. It technically more than fits my taste, but... for once I just feel bad the plot happened to them... at all.
This is one that brings out a sadistic side I never knew I had. While he's lonely and weeping and regretting his actions, I'm muttering "yes... your pain brings such exquisite delight".
Warning: the entire thing is graphic, graphic, and GRAPHIC. Also, consent is basically thrown out the window. Don't expect it to show up.
I hate the "ahegao" face trend... but for once the dude also gets it in this and I find it hot on him for some reason?? He's depraved and I dig it. Don't judge me.
I've read the novel as well. Whereas I think Karloi's reasoning for being a jerk doesn't justify just how bad he acts, his regretful suffering and desperation to make it up to her are... yum. I can't wait for those parts to get made into this version. The sobbing, heartbroken version of him makes me feel like an emotional sadist.
Edit: the regret part has finally gotten rolling. So good.
Violent psycho falls hard for another violent psycho. Both are possessive and twisted, but the ML takes it to full yandere levels... and I love it.
He's SIXTEEN at the start, not super young. His growth is stunted... but he's a teenager with a crush.
He finishes "growing up" out at war, not being raised by her. He might have a savior complex for her, but there's no grooming. He's creepily obsessed and the FL is oblivious and... those sly predator eyes are too sexy.
Warning: smut. Sorry, guys, I like my spice.
Very "act like a brat to hide my love" kind of guy, but also her literal personal bodyguard. He realizes he has to step up if he isn't ready to give her up.
Warning: smut, but it's a bit old-school manga far from graphic.
The ML is sometimes great but undeniably toxic, and there's a lot of drama with the FL (partially because she's got less braincells than a rock).
Warning: smut
The novel gave more context. The novel starts just as cheesy as this adaptation, but it gets so good! I want them to do more with this.. anyway.
The ML has a very justifiable reason for being a ho at the beginning, but you don't see it until like halfway through the novel. His excessive love and devotion are REAL. He's my type in bed, so I'm a bit biased.
