When the ML goes absolutely wild trying to track down the FL, of course I went "teehee.. I can dig it". I adore him so hard.
In this, it's not the actual ML. I think the guy from her first life never wanted to betray her... I think he's legit under a powerful mind control spell and can't help it. It seems like he honestly loves her and fights hard to break free but keeps getting pushed back into the spell. If I'm right... my heart hurts for him. I want to see him break free and confess and it gives me such ANGST.
I find the guy gross and annoying at first. The further it goes, the more I think "I wish I could be the target for his toxic love".
Warning: strong, explicit and NEARLY uncensored smut. Plot basically only exists to connect smut together and give it flavor. Consent is extremely dubious sometimes and once or twice is not there at all. I mean, yandere demon, ya know?

Update: one character has gone full yandere, but I'm not vibing with it. The plot has gotten so messy the author is taking a hiatus to work on stuff.
A selfish jerk develops real feelings to the point of not caring if it means he's gay... those are some legit feelings. His selfish jerk choices lead to him having to admit his mistakes and become a better person. I think his behavior turns genuinely sweet and adorable. I wish I could snuggle the brat.

This is a rare time when everyone says it's noncon... and I mostly disagree. She says no nonstop... but is staying the night, getting in his bed, and rubbing all over him going "no, we shouldn't~". GIRL. You're trash making consent look meaningless. Don't throw yourself at someone like "oh no, it's too good, stop, I can't~". Just say "no, really" or walk away. Anyway, dude is a possessive beast.
I read the completed novel. It would be cool if they serialized this. The dude is at least an "anti-hero" or something and has issues. His character had personality and complexity. I grew to really like him.

The ML is constantly testing the FL's friendship with bullying and pushing her limits, but is literally subtly mind controlling her to repeatedly come hang out. When she finally okays "that's it! I'm fed up with your rude self, bye", he's going "shoot, wait, no".
