PASSION is filled with triangledrama, drama in general and Reigrow, which is (imo) one of the sexiest semes. Sure, he’s a little bit of a psychopath but I am so here for the drama. Just wish they could build Reigrow and Tay’s relationship a little further. I just get exited whenever Reigrow shows up lol. And last but not least, it’s a slow burn. In other words, THEY DON’T RUSH THE RELATIONSHIP! Which I rarely see in Bl.
Payback is also filled with drama and it’s a slow burn as well. I sure love that. Plus, I think their designs are really unique. And I also love the fact that it’s about revenge. Very interesting The only complaint I have is that the seme rarely shows up. They focus a little bit too much on the uke, and not enough on the seme and both of their relationship to one another. But hopefully It will become better. Maybe the story is just building up
Night fragments is a heartfelt story filled with angst. Even tho it’s a shounen ai, which is something I don’t typically like, this one had me exited every time a new chapter came out! It’s about the seme who has a lot of nightmares, but one day gets help from a Night Watcher and form there a relationship grows.
Do I even need to explain this one? Junjou Romantica is a classic. I think this was my first ever Bl that I read. The art is nothing special, the story is fairly simple but my god, I love the writing in this one, and the characters. It’s so freaking funny, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while reading a Bl ever. And the character development is top tier. It’s so heartwarming to see Misaki slowly accepting his love for Usagi and to see Usagi become happier
Now, this would be my number one favorite if the Mdzs manhua were more similar to the Donghua (I’ve literally rewatched it thrice). I love the story, the angst and the characters but the art could be better imo. It just feels like Heaven officials is getting better treatment surrounding the art which is sad since I prefer Mdzs so much more.
Ah, this one has a special place in my heart too. It’s a shounen ai but I love the story. It’s so simple, so funny and so sweet. It has some darker yet interesting moments too, like the semes backstory and his creepy childhood friend who has a bdsm kink. Anyway, I just love the story over all and It’s a great read The only issue I have with it, is that it’s episodic.
Ennead is just *chef’s kiss* a work of art. It’s filled with jealousy, betrayal, cool characters and lots of ANGST. And It’s also so unique since I rarely see Bl’s with mythological elements. Ennead follows the story of how the mythology goes (mostly at least). The only issue I can see other people not liking is the fact that they’re related and that it has rape scenes. But come on, it takes place in ancient Egypt
Form of sympathy is just sad, very depressing and I love that about it. It’s about a depressed Uke who works as a teacher and one day he shows up to the wedding of his high school crush and gets even more depressed. The Seme notices the Uke and gets interested in him, mainly because his adopted sister is the one marrying the Uke’s high school crush. They relate to each other and build a relationship through that.
Now, I’m not the biggest fan of omegaverse stories since the uke’s are treated like women (like, misogyny) and sometimes even look like women (or at least too feminine, for my taste ofc). But this one is the best omegaverse I’ve read, cuz they’re both alphas, none is an annoying omega. I just love 2 masculine men HAVING FEELINGS for each other. It’s so cute and romantic
This was my favorite BL for a while because I hadn’t read much BL at the time. They’re just so precious and none toxic, it’s amazing. The story gets really interesting in the last season and Gio’s design looks so unique! He’s so seggsy
