Mentoring, companions, and friends

Adventure genre that has a focused dynamic of mentorship or companionship or friendship. Group dynamics. There must be a balance of at most 70:30 screentime but preferably lower. 

Companions/Friends must have a storyline of their own that gives them more character depth or at the very least has same amount of screentime and an actual weight to the plot. They should not just be for gags or working orders or an insert plot to boost the main.
