mao mao who is kidnapped and sold to the palace, gets appointed as a poison tester in inner palace for her incredible medical knowledge and her weirdly obsession and resistance with poisons. her quick wicked, smart, cunning and calculative nature makes her more than an ordinary servant, and she unintentionally starts to unveil the dark and complex history of the palace with a certain perverted eunuch.

a police officer who has an ability to detect lies dedicates her life to defend the law and the defendless. even if it means teaming up with the famous purple hyacinth, a deadly assassin.

a well written thriller, slow burn, action and mystery story. with a dark and heavy theme, this story still can make you laugh- then cry a lot.

one of my favorites... after mc gets killed viciously, she goes back in time. in this life, she learnt from her mistakes and she's trying her best. even though you didn't like the sypnosis, you should read it no matter what, trust me!! even though it may be debatable for some, she's one of the most strong women in fiction history.
