watched the anime first, was so captivated by soo-won's character that i picked up the manga but even if he wasnt there it still would have ended up as one of my favorites for the wholesome and funny as hell dynamic between the dragons and yona&haku. best historical romance manhwa ever and the romance isn't even the best part of it. also zeno.
when i first picked it up i wasnt really impressed ngl it still had like 5 chapters but i was bored and decided to read the novel. took me an incredibly short time to finish 500+ chapters, almost no food and sleep. there are things that sound absolutely effing ridiculous w/out context (even w context after a long time has passed) but when youre reading it, it all makes sense somehow. the characters are iconic and the ending mindblowing.
its just a really fun and wholesome read. i need something lighthearted once in a while. the food looks great
touches on some very real issues lgbt+ people face but still manages to keep it positive/hopeful. goes on to show how much having the right people by your side can help
SPICY. toxic pair with unresolved tension is always a treat. suprisingly wholesome in the latest chapters also
somehow i cant hate anyone in this story like yeah the mom is an obnoxious bitch but she clearly went through a lot as well. the author brilliantly portrays the cycle of generational trauma. also the art is so fucking good at expressing complex emotions that it freaks me out. especially when i can relate to that particular feeling
my favorite comedy. i think i like the anime better though. my attention span is really low but it manages to keep me entertained cause its goes so damn fast. also i can understand a tiny bit of japanese and somehow its ×100 funnier???
i really hope no romance ever happens between the main characters not only because of the age difference but also because i really want to imagine them as siblings. btw i would kill and get killed for matsubase im not even joking my man deserves all the love and affection in the world
it's not perfect but it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time wondering whatll happen unlike the first one where the twist is painfully obvious and the third one where all the characters are dumb and annoying and flat (id be lying if i said i wasnt simping for the blond femboy for a few chapters there tho) i like the gradual descent into madness as well, mc is the most interesting of them all
good old fashioned tsundere and simp
