really really good bl like only REALLY good bl

literally so good. really smutty but with a compelling plot and interesting characters. despite the typical mafia premise the mc/uke actually has agency and a personality, it never really feels like there's a power imbalance bc uke is smart and resourceful. seme is kinda a douche at first but he's never really unlikeable, his actions make sense and he really softens up in a realistic way. i'm especially a fan of the seme being revealed to actually be gay and it not being a one time thing

nothing compares. yu yang might just be my favorite character in a bl ever, and li huan is best boy. love them so much, there's a hole in my heart no other bl has been able to fill since i read this.

a classic. you can't go wrong with sasaki and miyano because they're best boys. their bind is so organic and real, it's the sweetest least dramatic slow build ever, which if you're like me and hate unnecessary drama, you love. sometimes you just want fluff and falling in love in an authentic way. wish more bl was like this.

good in the way that the plot is fantastic. the romance leaves much to be desired and could've been more developed, especially towards the ending. it does make sense though since it is supposed to take place inside a 'bad bl novel' where a side character gains consciousness and that's all i'll say to not spoil anything. it's a gripping read with a bunch of plot twists and it's a quick read, too. very fun to read.

amazing plot. green flag seme and smart/cold uke, they start in a relationship but it's not 'serious' only bc the uke tried to do everything so the seme can be the perfect king. the main side couple is uh... something, some dub con involved with them and also with one half of the side couple and his servants before they were his servants. overall really cute fun read with a lot of actual story and complex characters and side stories.

if i had to marry a manga... haiga, green flag bisexual seme with none of the 'i don't like boys i just like you bs', meets kanae in a 'massage' shop while exploring his sexuality since he had a crush on a boy in high school but didn't get to fully explore it. they're both in the same music club and haiga falls fast, pursues kanae and they fall in love. 10/10 short story.

seme might seem like a huge dick but he really does grow on you, i don't usually apologize for manipulative ml but since i do think he's trying to save people i can understand where he's coming from. mc is really cute, and traumatized, i love him and NEED him to be happy and no longer a dazai kinnie. AWESOME PLOT, feels like straight up shonen most of the time during s1. great supporting cast, especially the female characters.

re-read worthy if you like harem intrigue and time travel isekai. mc and ml are both interesting characters with flaws and their relationship evolved pretty organically.

so beautiful and so heartbreaking. wish ml took more of an initiative trying to communicate but ig that's bc i hate the miscommunication trope. they have wonderful chemistry and even though mc just met ml i still find it believable that he would fall in love that quickly.
