opposite attracts troupe
delinquent / nerd dynamic
The very reason this list was created. This manga encompasses everything I love in a slice of life BL — the vibes are all that I'm looking for.
The two main characters, Seki and Iwashiro are my favourite part here. Some plot points are left unexplored, and I'm still hoping for a volume two (or even three) where their different family dynamics are further developed. Would love to own the physical copy one day
opposite attracts? sorta?
contract relationship troupe
I enjoyed Aimi and his very clearly open relationship goals, unfortunately he lives in a Society. It was fun to see his cocky, expectant behaviours of how his love(?) lives usually went get turned over his head by just how accepting Kanae was. I also love his progression to acting like, as his friends said, a kindergartener as he falls in love with Kanae's brand of uniqueness.
opposite attracts troupe
honour student / delinquent dynamic
Outsider Communication but flip side I feel like— the two manga got completely different vibes tho
My favourite part is how well Arima and Mizutani bounced off of each other, and also their unexpected personality traits; Arima was unexpectedly stubborn, and pretty sure of himself whereas Mizutani came off the opposite
I love how Nanase-sensei drew Mizutani blushin expressions, they're all so adorable!

i get what i want / going along for the ride dynamic
content warning for dubious consent
One of the few Tobi Washio's non same-face syndrome manga — which coincidentally meant I could appreciate their art a lot more here. The expressions on Natsuo's more emotional ones are so beautiful.
Haine's outspoken personality and his aggressively physical movements are very endearing, and so are Natsuo's reactions to his shenanigans
Volume One:
supernatural possession troupe
admired / admirer dynamic
The art is scrumptious, I need the artstyle injected into my veins, the height and size difference between them was the cherry on top. Utsue was adorable in his ride or die for chief Togawa, and the man responded as (respectfully) thirsty.
Volume Two: Ongoing
mind reading troupe & age gap —
top younger man / bottom older man dynamic
True to his name Kaneko is truly a neko LMAO such a silly detail, but I love his chibi, slit-eyed expressions so much.
This manga got that juicy uhh 'older man thought he's long passed the age to be attractive / attainable, surprised by younger man vigour in wanting to rail him', the only thing missing is the omegaverse— I need to see Kaneko breeding Sayama
arranged marriage troupe & age gap —
top younger man / bottom older man dynamic
content warning for outsiders' conspired 'fuck or die'
The premise left a bad taste in my mouth; looking past the fucked up villagers + the mothers schemes, their relationship developed very sweetly. Volume 1 was kind of a mess, since the 'fuck or die' thing made the whole thing skewered, but Volume 2 saved the awkwardness of it all.
