He (literally) stumbles across fellow student Kouhei while on a job hunt, and is incredibly enticed by the delicious bento Kouhei has in hand. However, something seems a bit off about Kouhei, and when Taichi consults his friends about it, he gets an answer he really wasn’t expecting: Kouhei is severely hearing impaired.

I adore this story sm the drama, angst, tension, pacing. I just love how the author expresses the bittersweet n melancholic feeling of unknowingly getting attached and letting someone gently tear down ur walls, then when u finally fully lower ur guard and let ur heart be vulnerable, its already too late. Ur worst fears come true n ur left to bury ur love bc someone who had once promised their all to u has now forgotten all about you.
