I cannot express enough how much I love this work. It really suits my taste and I hope others will come to appreciate this gem as well. It's not another mindless read - it really made me ponder on the ethical questions of human cloning (first story) and what it means to love someone (2nd and 3rd stories). All of the stories take place in the same universe. The pacing and character development was not rushed, and I enjoyed their different personalities.
The amount of love that I have for this BL manga is unbelievable. I freaking love it. There are many couples to follow. The relationships between the characters do get a bit complicated, but that's what keeps me interested - aside from the crazily cute romantic advances, of course. Someday I'll buy the books! Someday.
When I noticed that the person who created this manga is the same author who made DNAngel, I dove straight into the story. Glad to say, I was not disappointed. I have to admit that the plot is a bit confusing, but things do start to make sense as the story unravels. While I am extremely fond of Naito and his genie, the rest of the characters are also pretty interesting (and mysterious). And if you haven't noticed already, there's a BL subtext.
(Still in the process of reading it.) I really enjoy this manga. It pulls me in, especially the psychological aspect of it. It's serious yet imaginative, and that's the beauty of this story. I find "My Name is Shingo" to have a very unique plot and set of characters. The author did a really great job of keeping me intrigued and surprised with every twist and turn of the story, and I can't wait to read more.
It seems that this work has been discontinued or put on the back burner. It's a shame because the story has so much promise. I know I'll still go back to check the status of this manga. Hopefully it gets picked up again someday. If anyone knows if the manga has been completely dropped, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it.
I kept this BL manga in mind for a reason. I found its characters to be fairly different from the typical BL characters. There's something about it that sets it apart from the rest, but I can't yet put my finger on it. Maybe it's the raw emotional vibe I get from it. The stories feel real and the second to last was especially moving to me.
A light-hearted BL story. It's not particularly striking or memorable, but still very cute and something to kill time with. The seme's jealousy wasn't irksome and the uke wasn't annoying (which I'm so thankful for). Not the best BL manga out there, but I'm glad I didn't miss out on the chance of reading this (twice already because I didn't remember that I've already read the story years before).
Really cute continuation to a story that I adore so much.
Possessive lover, demonic lead character, fantasy, BL... it's pretty much everything I love in one manga.
