8/10 — *very* very similar to “at the end of the road”, i’d wager with confidence that it drew inspiration. this manhwa is ultimately inferior because of the rampant consent issues and less believable romance. on its own, it’s still an incredibly gripping read; i’d definitely recommend it, to those who are less phased by toxicity.
4/10 — this one was…strange? i’m always for messy love triangles involving twins + silly high school shenanigans, but this manhwa involved an overarching plot/conspiracy that didn’t feel complete and mostly left me confused.
7/10 — teacher x teacher HOW CUTE!! nothing novel, but a very cute read for anyone who likes slice of life BLs. the MC is so pretty, and his dynamic with ML is very fun. some nice commentary on sexuality as well; does a good job with portraying how homosexuality affects different people.
7/10 — a love triangle so good it’s almost frustrating! you really couldn’t tell which twin would be chosen, but the one i was rooting for ultimately won the MC over :) great setup, great payoff with a slightly bittersweet (obviously, considering it’s a love triangle) but ultimately happy ending.
8/10 — a beautiful story about fleeting love that perseveres with and without memory. both characters get generous screentime to dive into their emotions & motivations. the celestial worldbuilding is interesting and has a lot of potential, but doesn’t take away from the down to earth, slice of life -esque storyline. the execution unfortunately falls flat from the rushed ending.
6/10 — rather cheesy and cute; comes with the territory of fan x idol stories. frustrating miscommunication at times, but it’s also the core of the plot. not personally the biggest fan of the idol x fan trope, but if it’s something you’re into, you’re more than likely to enjoy it.
8/10 — very cute!! a surprisingly light-hearted read given the subject matter (ace hitman & his employer), and the relationship dynamic is ridiculous but so enjoyable.
8/10 — NOT A BL!! but tonally close enough to one that i’m adding it anyway. mc has a secret love for wearing high heels and it thematically has very close ties to homophobia/transphobia; him & the secondary protagonist also have teased romantic dynamics. it kinda sucked seeing mc be treated badly & it played off for comedy, but eventually he was able to be vulnerable and his issues seriously addressed. the main conflict at the end was something i closely related to.
7/10 — very nice art, very fun & likable characters, reasonable character conflicts, great setup & payoff. all-around a solid and inoffensive story, even though it doesn’t particularly stick out to me.
8/10 — one of the first BLs i ever read, so this one has a very special place in my heart. cute, funny, short & sweet, the epitome of the shounen ai genre.
