“Holy shit. Oh my god. No. No! NOOOO!!!” were my thoughts while reading this. It’s definitely not for the faint hearted. You watch a little innocent boy grow up in a fucked up environment, with fucked up people, who fuck him over. Oh yeah and he has a crush on a girl.
Its a short story with only 21 chapters, yet its a story that'll leave a long lasting impression on you. It definitely left me in my feels, I dont regret reading this at all. If i were the children in this story id have long since kms i wont lie to ya.
TW: blood, gore, death, war, guns, suicide.
[>] This story was such a roller coaster of emotions good lord. If you’re into a good sentimentally heart wrenching story, then this is perfect for you. I will not lie my brothas, a homie shed a few tears over this story… many tears actually… *Ahem* but that’s beside the point. Y’all should definitely give this one a read!! I give this a solid 9.7/10
[>] FUCK CHAPTER 12 ME AND MY HOMIES HATE CH12!!! In all seriousness tho I applaud the author for being able to make me cry. The concept of a story being set during a zombie apocalypse isn't anything revolutionary, but the fact we get to view it in the eyes of a cat is something I haven't ever heard of before. I have a soft spot for cats, so witnessing the things it had to go through to survive was painful to say the least. 9.3/10
I hesitated putting this manga here simply because it left me saying "oh my god...wtf??" instead of making me depressed or in my feels. It certainly is a tragic read, no doubt about that, but idk man.. this story is more pitiful than depressing. So i guess i only decided to add this here because pity is ig sorta similar to sorrow? idk man. its def a story more people should know about tho so i recommend giving it a read since its a one shot.
i recall reading this in middle school, so its certainly been awhile since i last read it. but from what i remember, it definitely got me in my feels.
FL who seems to be in her mid 20’s lives in an abusive household with her mom who treats her like a housemaid and punching bag, a dad who fails to realize his negligence and only starts turning around halfway into the story, and a younger brother who is so mentally insane that he doesn’t deserve any pity. It’s so depressing what she had to endure for all her life and you get to see how she learns to free herself of the shackles from her family.
Our MC Dani is a girl who gets transported into a webcomic she read centered around a cliche shoujo manga plot. She's the "MC's" best friend in this world, and makes lots of friends along the way. Reason I added this here is cuz Dani suffers from horrible anxiety. "What happens to me when the story ends? Do I go back to my normal world and forget all the memories i made here? Or do they forget me? I cant tell anyone about this, but I feel all alone in this world" Like gah damn girl;-;
That ending was very bittersweet, i thoroughly enjoyed this manga. This art style is beautiful and how it reminds me of children's picture books. Definitely intentional in order to capture the innocence of Shivas pure nature in contrast to the dark and gloomy situations happening around her. Shiva, a girl of not even 7 years old, has to face many hardships that make me sad just reading. A girl of that age shouldnt need to hide her emotions in order to not worry the people she cares for :(
