Would Read Again

Short and tragic.

I absolutely love the story telling of this one shot. The framing, the pacing, all of it was terrific in order to lead to its conclusion. My eyes were left wide open by the time I finished.

I particularly enjoyed the lead up to the conclusion. The small dialogue bubbles, the absolute tragedy of the brother not knowing his sister had died; the panelling revealing to the audience what the characters do not know. All of it was amazing storytelling.

Multiple love stories put into one.

The main couple almost had me tearing up. I didn't cry even though I wished I could. The way they both care for each other and how she, even though she knew he would come back, was engulfed with sorrow watching him die again and again. This love story played with my emotions and I would gladly read it again and feel the same dread I felt the first time.

I remember I was real depressed after I read this.

Honestly made me sob.

This story remind me of my father. I remember reading this story and was putting myself into the family's position. I asked myself questions such as "what if this was my father? What would I do?" I ended up crying near the middle of the story, became too overly attached, too drowned in my own emotions and sorrows that filled me with dread as I kept reading on.

Fun story with more plot later on.

I am incredibly biased towards this series as it is one of my too favorites of all time. One of the few storied where I am able to recall a majority of the casts' names. I love the plot twist that the author drives the audience to believe before she flips everyone on their heads. The reveal at the end. The fate of Dani and Nico in the later arc. God I love this series so much.

Overpowered and tired mc.

Naga has to be one of my absolute favorite main protagonists. He is not overly optimistic and the other characters sometimes forget he is still a child and burden him with mountains of responsibility not everyone can handle. The progress of his character develops as you can see him becoming progressively more tired and done. The story hits quite a turn too as it turns from a comedy, to more so an action-based downwards spiral of a teen hero whose power is overbearing

Themes of neglect and loneliness.

When I read the title, I was honestly worried it was going to become a romance. Instead it was an emotional rollercoaster which made me feel empathy for the characters in this story. It made me frustrated and tearful understanding the reasons behind the brother and sister's actions.

Lesbian love story.

Two girls who used to be friends reconnect later on in the future. I love this story so much that words cannot even begin to describe it. It is a right person, right time that shows itself as a right person, wrong time story. Midori hides her sorrows with an innocent smile while Maki would ruin herself, throw everything away a million times just to be with her and run away.

I like this story :3 and the art is gorgeous imo.

There are some incredibly well-framed panels in this serie. Although some areas where predictable, this was an enjoyable read. I can't say that much since I read this in middle school and I don't remember the plot that well. But there are scenes that I still have the exact frame embedded in my memory. The story does have a few emotional beats which I believe were well done.
