Wow this manga is so fun! Set in the Edo(?) period, the FL is set on fulfilling her duty and marrying for the sake of her family. The FL was kidnapped and the ML ends up protecting her, and she promises him marriage if he saves her. ML is an assassin/hitman who is very unpredictable (and unhinged). Their relationship is messy due to circumstances and also their different perceptions of what "love" is (and I really wish Satoko would communicate better, such as her being jealous of ML�

Each character has their struggles but they communicate so well so any misunderstanding only lasts 3 chapters max and it pretty realistic and SO WHOLESOME MY GOD...even comes off as boring bc its so healthy and wholesome jesus left off at 87
Super similar to the Apothecary Diaries but....the FL is solving this mysteries on speed mode with like zero clues so the realism is being stretched too far to be believable...meh. It's cool that she's part of the book making process though/editor
BEWARE RARELY UPDATES The title is a bit weird....and there's like almost zero smut? Honestly just a low-key adventure story of a modern girl transported to a fantasy world trying to figure things out (ex. currency, she can't read the language either) with the help of her demon friend (who was a former B-rank adventurer).
