The art made me nervous as a rom com regular bc it seemed like it was going towards more action adventure BUT NO. It’s the perfect mix of those elements and romance with an extremely likeable FL who doesn’t need anyone to save her and a ML who deserves her. No stupid plot points just slay. I wish the ending had more fan service, but I feel that way ab all good works.

No novel will ever compare to this. At first you either love or hate it. I tried reading it once, dropped it bc of the art and then gave it another chance. No regrets. It’s a longer read but worth the wait. I will mention honestly that the art style changes a little bit as the story progresses and FL’s hair looks a little more unruly and I kinda wish they didn’t always push that she isn’t seen as an attractive character bc she’s cute and funny.

Don’t be fooled by the cutesy art it actually touches on some angst and violence. Great storytelling I don’t care that it was predictable bc I enjoyed it all nonetheless. She falls first and he falls harder. Wish she got to show how strong she was a little more often tho and not just the big battle end.

Likeable dumbass FL. Likeable bc there aren’t really any long drawn out angsty points. Refreshing light read.

I honestly won’t reread this for years bc of how the plot pissed me off. (Typical shoujo plots where ML didn’t communicate boundaries well enough to some girl (she’s unimportant dw) and we all get our feelings hurt bc of it) But I don’t regret reading it once and I think y’all should too.
