Mitsuru is an absolute button and while his whole reason is stupid (country bumpkin trope is honestly so overused and doesn’t have anything new to offer), at least his personality makes up for it. Cute is an understatement. I like the representation of “holding it in” and ultimately bursting that bubble in the worst ways possible (which affected the story positively). I’m really just a sucker for this kind of dynamic, cAUSE NEED IT NOW MORE THAN EVER T-T

I mean it when I say that this is the best reverse BL out there. It establishes a motive for that switch and of course, the journey to realize and act upon that switch. Keita and Satoshi are lil airheads but it’s on a realistic level. How they grew to explore their relationship further was a great addition too; a must read to quench that switch thirst.

I am a sucker for established couples, and this one takes the cake.

Absolutely adorable. They’re so domesticated, It’s like I’m peeking into their lives like a damn creep. It doesn’t feel like a fictional story, more like a reality show turned into a manga. It’s a feel-good story through and through plus the characters are really lovable, even the side characters. I do wish we get a prequel cause the tidbits were not enough.

High school setting BL done absolutely right. This is a no bullshit drama. “You like me, I like you, let’s go out”, drizzled with intimate scenes which were drool worthy. I didn’t know teeth were gonna be crucial to really amp up the vibe but holy cow, it worked tremendously well. Characters are lovable, might add all the spin offs cause sensei doesn’t have any misses.

HEIGHT GAP INCOMING!

I totally adore this one. The art style and plot reminds me of warm days, basking under the sun, being happy. I love how there are shy moments between them but it’s genuinely because they’re trying to find their way through their relationship. Coming-of-age BL encased in wholesome madness, I love it.

I’m being incredibly biased, since this manga is my love child. But honestly, this one skipped all the discrimination trope which would’ve complicated and lengthened the story. But no, Yoshita cross-dressing just makes Hajime hard. Both characters are choroi (marupok) to the nth degree but they have great understanding towards each other. Having peculiar likes takes time and patience to be understood but Hajime was on board since Day 1. Truly an example of a giga chad.

Another hit for sensei~

Two goofy goobers struggling to find the even ground on their relationship which doesn’t really affect their dynamics. Kiyoshi seemed to be a self-centered dumbfuck, because he was one, when he was with Santa and his other ex. But the boy changed for our Touya. I am so inlove with the way Kiyo assures Touya. They’re both mature when it comes down to it, but the slice-of-life aspect is spot on!

Mito is a fluffball, too kind for his own good but can give dubcon bj (sus). Karaki is a straight man, bent by the heat of Mito’s love. They became domesticated along the way which was great.

What I didn’t like, was the co-worker speaking on behalf of Mito. Had that happened before Mito confessed to Karaki, I wouldn’t enjoy this as much. They’re both grown adults. It shouldn’t be Karaki’s burden to answer Mito under the pretense of not hurting him.

The fact that this is an essay of a person, makes it more emotional. While it did take some time before the whirlwind of life was extinguished from his Ryou’s life, it makes one happy to know that he’s happy under his husband’s care. A truly grounded take on BL. Honestly, Ryou and Ryousuke were just meant for each other. The connection, the intimacy—everything was because of each other.
