The art and storyline is so good which is obviously not surprising for something made by studio Lico. MC is incredibly OP but he uses his skills to restore the glory of his sect. He’s confident to the point of arrogance, but it’s used as a hilarious gag in the story and it’s honestly endearing. This is one of those reads that will get you hooked no matter what mood you’re in. 10/10
Ngl at first I was going to drop this story because of the war setting, but it turns out to be another typical high school manhwa where the MC is never at school (in a good way). Admittedly there are a couple of potential love interests for the MC but the focus of the story is really about discovering the MC’s past and how that plays into the present. I just love how people are constantly in awe of his skills and also how wholesome his relationships with other characters are. 10/10
Not sure how the story is past the school tournament arc since I’m still waiting for chapters but I can vouch that everything before the school arc has anything you’d want in an action manhwa. You get the MC’s childhood backstory, training arc, and you even get to see him surpass his master. Another endearingly arrogant OP MC like from Return of the Flowery Mountain Sect. 9/10
More fantasy than action but I added this to the list because I love the MC. Although he turns out to be OP, he works hard to turn his talent into something and stays true to his passions. I love that he’s still competitive despite being a nice humble dude. Total himbo though. A lot of people talk about how the potential FL is annoying but it’s not that bad and you come to like her soon enough. The random scientific explanations are also hilarious. 10/10
Don’t be fooled by the title of the manhwa because it’s really more martial arts oriented than anything. I’d say that compared to the other MC’s on this list he lacks the depth of character that makes you want to root for him. Still, the story is good and it’s interesting to see how the MC deals with the moral dilemma of being a doctor that saves people while also killing others as a martial artist. 9/10
Honestly the story itself isn’t really my favourite, however the perseverance of the MC is really something to marvel at. Perseverance to the point where the reader feels exhaustion too. There are moments that feel incredibly frustrating because the MC overcomes one hurdle just to be met with a wall but that’s also the beauty of the story. The world building elements are also fantastic but you definitely need to be in a patient mood to read this. 9/10
Hilarious MC put into a ridiculous situation by his parents. While the humour does well in making the story lighthearted, this doesn’t take away from the action of the story at all. The concepts are also really unique unlike a lot of manhwa on this list lol. I think he also lacks character depth, but that’s also a given due to the humour out element of the story. 10/10
