MCs are restaurant employees/owners. Otherworlders are customers. (Modern cooking isekai’ed for short).
A great read. Restaurant is an izakaya type, much focus on Japanese cuisine (though with some exceptions). There is some plot other than just cooking, but not too complicated.
Modern cuisine isekai’ed.
Same author of [Isekai Izakaya Nobu].
Completed.
Modern cuisine isekai’ed.
Home-cooked meals with a side of adventure (FL’s sister is the priestess). There is also romance here, but it’s not awkward at all. There is actual plot.
Excerpt:
“…There is one problem, however--the food in this magical world is gross! Lisa insists on helping the household cooking staff prepare a traditionalmeal from her world, and it is a big hit with her hosts. Soon Lisa knows what she should do in this new world; she should open a cafe and treat everyone to delicious food!”
Home-cooked meals, to feed the self (MC) and companions (Fenrir wolf and cute slime), with a side of adventure.
A fun read and a personal favorite, blends the good of isekai and cooking genres together. Not that plot heavy.
Completed.
Modern cooking isekai’ed.
MC is a chef, owns restaurant.
A warm, wholesome manga. Mostly European dishes, though Japanese cuisine is also present.
Modern cooking isekai’ed.
Restaurant (cafè) type.
Feels warm and wholesome like [Isekai Shokudou]. A great read to pass the time.
Half modern cooking.
Cooking for others. Not restaurant type.
An interesting read with some plot outside cooking. Compared to the other mangas in this list, there are food/recipes/ingredients from the other world that the MC learns how to handle.
Other way around with this one compared to other mangas.
More on eating rather than cooking.
MC gets isekai’ed and chases after other world cuisines, trying out the other world’s food while conducting business (business trips = food trips). Some ingredients/food are make-believe. You might not want to read this if you just want a food-centric manga like [Isekai Shokudou] or [Isekai Izakaya Nobu].
Similar plot [Mazumeshi to Elf to Youbokugurashi] in that there are fantasy ingredients the MC learns to handle, but this manga has a bit more serious tone. Plot is food-centric.
Apprentice cook MC isekai’ed and slowly proves the power of modern cooking to people who only care for food’s nutritional value, while also finding satisfaction in what he does. Plot is interesting.
