10/10: This is truly a dark manga with astounding art and story. It has become a staple mark for readers for a reason. With complex characters and lore, it will quickly suck you into its world of questions around suffering and evil. My only warning is that it's pretty violent and long. Sadly, the writer recently passed away, so keep that in mind if you feel somewhat frustrated by cliffhangers.
9.8/10: This is a classic for a reason. I remember reading this long ago, and the plot still holds up! This one is fantasy-based, with a magic system, epic sword fights, and a complicated story. My only warning is that it hasn't been updated in four years.
9.8/10: I can't help but return to this webtoon, even though it is unfinished. The dynamic between the two main characters is not just sweet but shows the lengths one's love can go if pushed hard enough. It also explores the concepts of abuse, SA, family legacy, co-dependency (the good and bad), and mental health in an overall respectful way (excluding a particular purple-haired character). Overall, this read will pull on heartstrings in just the right ways.
9.8/10: This manga made me cry. I mean, I wept. This is a gorgeous manga with one of the best endings I have ever read. The art is beautiful, and I love the characters.
9.8/10: God, this has gone on forever, and the undertones are pretty weird, considering Ciel's age. It's also unbelievable how much better the art has gotten. I grew up on this manga, which will always hold a special place in my heart. Especially Sebastian.
9.8/10: It has some of the most beautiful artwork I have seen in any webtoon and the best take on the "reincarnation" trope. Moreover, it is beautifully written, especially concerning the MC and her relationship with her father. Overall, it doesn't just have a strong plot but very moving characters and twists that keep the reader actively engaged. However, if you go in for romance you will be disappointed.
9.8/10 This manga is, in one word, "intoxicating." I can't stop reading it: all the characters, the world, and the mechanics placed within by the author makes you feel the stress the MC is under. Also, it is incredible to have such a strong female character when delving into a story focused on sexism, abuse, and, honestly, some severe bullying by those around her. You will laugh and cry, hoping this girl will survive this video game and earn a break.
9.5/10: I love Candy (the MC) and how badass he is. The romance between the two was sweet but quite dramatic during the first half of the manga. Moreover, one aspect this story does very well is the chemistry between the main couple, making their relationship worth rooting for. However, there are some very annoying characters (you'll know who when you read it). Overall, it has high action and good emotional growth between the main couple, making it a fantastic read.
9.5/10: This manga doesn't focus on romance but on the internal struggles of someone who grew up in war as a soldier trying to reconnect with his family and friends. While it still has high action scenes, with James Bond-like missions and subplots, the MC and his emotional journey ultimately keep the reader engaged in his story.
9.5/10 This manga is messed up in the best way possible. Think of those 1980 slasher flics; now add a charming but slightly unhinged detective who takes the law into his own hands. What do you get? Humour, violence, and NSFW scenarios. This is not one to read if you don't like body horror or blood.
