This is so nice! A quiet established relationship that endures long work hours and eventually a long-distance relationship, but their bond is strong and unwavering.
Bloggers in love. This was fantastic, with realistic reactions to the evolution of their relationship, and no unnecessary drama. I'd love to see where they are in five years.
Oosawa, a single father struggling to care for his young daughter, accepts the kindness of a customer when she falls ill. Yoshioka is a promiscuous man who is open about his interest in Oosawa, which he doesn't return. But the more time Oosawa and his daughter spend with him, the more things begin to feel like family.
A love story with a delightful child character and happy ending. I loved it. (I mean, they fall in love in like 3 days but...manga)
For a decade, a man has harbored a one-sided love for his older brother's friend, only to move and find out they're neighbors.
The final chapter is a oneshot: a writer goes to an oceanside retreat and is visited nightly by a boy who can walk on water.
A refreshing, sweet love story between a man who works the floor at a nightclub and a man who comes to the club nightly. Beautifully drawn, realistic, touching, super happy.
A gently told, beautiful collection of three love stories:
1) An established relationship between a secretary and his adoring boss. (Temp MCD; dream sequence)
2) Childhood friends reunite, and through photography, realize their feelings are mutual.
3) In the aftermath of a major error, a boss and subordinate find common ground in their shared loneliness and begin a relationship that is supportive and tender; their love was so immediate and sincere, it gave me butterflies.
This was the slow-burn love story of my dreams. After being cruelly dumped on Christmas Eve, Ei finds a man and a kitten asleep outside of his apartment in the snow. He takes them in out of pity, and Junpei becomes a fixture in his life, helping him to emerge from his stoic shell and to learn to love someone good for once.
Endou left middle school when his crush on a classmate made him a target of bullies. A year later, he begins work in his uncle's convenience store, where he meets Kouhei, a fellow 16-year-old who quickly goes from intimidating co-worker to close friend after they rescue a kitten. Rather than risk his only remaining friendship, Endou remains closeted about his past and sexuality, but his newfound stability seems on the verge of collapse when his former schoolmates discover where he works.
My favorite fantasy series. I sobbed through much of it. Has a few meaningful friendships & the (platonic) love between Teito and Mikage is a major catalyst for the story.
THIS, this is how you do teacher/student. A sensitive, well-paced, beautifully drawn story of Katou, a boy inspired by his teacher, who grows up to become a teacher like him. Five years after graduating, they reunite as coworkers, and Katou is still in love.
