Unrated because another classic yaoi banger. One of the OGs. Does the quality still hold up in the current age? Eh. Still worth reading for the sake of culture.
3.5/5
Great premise but kinda fell off at the end tbh. Very shy and socially awkward office worker develops a crush on a guy he interacted with in a convenience store.
4.5/5
Traumatized NEET uke gets a job at his uncle’s convenience store and meets his scary coworker (seme) who turns out to actually be a pretty good guy. Fluffy romance ensues. Of course there’s that standard yaoi twist of angst for one chapter but I think it wrapped up pretty nicely. Light and easy read.
3.5/5
Two childhood friends move in together as adults and fall in love. Is it the best thing out there? No. Is it unique? No. HOWEVER. The art is really nice. The plot is cute. I think this is worth reading especially with how short it is. If you’re looking for a standard 5-7 chapter yaoi that has all the generic characteristics (splash of misunderstanding, smut, fluffiness) then read this by all means.
4/5
Age gap
Divorced middle-aged salaryman x chef. Old man is giving uke vibes so I’ll refer to him as such. Seme is the same age as uke’s (adult) daughter so major age gap. I still think it’s cute. There is no spice in this, hence the top/bottom tin-foiling.
5/5
Good shit. Shy metalhead x golden retriever. Neighbor trope. This is one of my comfort reads.
4/5
Sadist(?) crossdresser x yakuza’s grandson.
4/5
country bumpkin x semi-famous photographer. Pure fluff, no spice.
3.5/5
Two dudes with PTSD trauma bond and lick each other’s wounds. Seme lost his ex to cancer and uke lost his parents to an accident and both are effed up over it. This is 44 chapters of angst and 2 happy ending chapters. If you like reading about depressed mfs doing the dirty, this is for you.
2.5/5
Honestly I didn’t really enjoy this, I just want to vent about it here. This is very very angst heavy and there is a huge misunderstanding that leads to the seme becoming a bully. I get that he was abused himself and really regrets his actions at the end, but I was just totally unable to feel any sympathy for him for some reason. He’s not a total villain but I guess he’s just an unlikeable dude. The “happy ending” wasn’t satisfying at all.
